The great thing about having friends that share similar passions is when we can get together for a road trip and enjoy the vast beautiful landscapes that mother nature has to offer.
A few years ago Charles Lucima and I took a day trip to the Eastern Sierra Nevadas. If you missed that I wrote about it in my Behind the Shot series with Kendall. That day trip was essentially a scouting trip in preparation for his Destination Nude 3 day workshop road trip.
Earlier this year somewhere around the June time frame Charles mentioned of another road trip, this time it would be out of state. At first it was just an idea to get some friends together and head to Utah. Personally I’ve never been to Utah. I’ve always wanted to go to the ski resorts for their winter season, but I never got around to it. So when the opportunity came up I jumped at the occasion to make this road trip happen.
As part of the road trip we traveled across 3 states to shoot in 3 locations. We shot at Valley of Fire State Park in Neveda, Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park and Zion National Park in Utah. Its certainly refreshing to visit some of mother nature’s creations.
This road trip wasn’t about shooting landscapes. We took models along for the road trip where we would capture their beauty in these majestic locations. I invited the gorgeous Makaila of Wilhelmina LA so I’ll write up some stories as part of my Behind The Shot blog posts. If you been following along on Instagram or Facebook you probably seen some of the pics. So stay tuned for the stories behind the pics.
For the last few months I’ve been slacking off on updates for the blog, but stay tuned for some new content.
