Back in October I wrote up a blog post contemplating the Sony A7R. After reading some reviews I decided to stick with my pre-order.
There was a few things that got me second guessing the A7R , it seemed to be more suited for the landscape photographer given the specs and features over the A7. I decided to take a chance to see if this camera fits my style. There’s no better way to know then actually using it for myself. Granted majority of the reviews out there are from pixel peeping photographers that have more camera theory than actual practice. And their subject matters are typically landscape or still life, not fashion or beauty that I shoot. And the others are paid or sponsored reviews. And on top of that a majority of them regurgitate camera specs that can be found on the manufacturer’s website.
My A7r and Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 came in last week and I had a chance to shoot with it. I’m pretty pumped on this camera. Now granted this camera isn’t doing anything more than what I could do with my Canon 5Dmk II or Sony NEX-7. The A7r is really a neat camera that is packed with some great features. I’ll go into more details about it later. Stay tuned for my complete review from a fashion and beauty standpoint.
In the mean time here’s a pic from my test with the Sony A7r with the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8.
